Ponderosa Class Teacher

Angela Maar
I am originally from Austria and have had the opportunity to live in various parts of the world, including Vienna, Salzburg, New Hampshire, Germany, Montreal, and Texas, before settling in Utah in 2023. I hold an Associate Business degree from Austria, a healing practitioner certificate from Germany, a B.A. in Sociology and French, and a Master’s degree in Education (Waldorf) from Antioch University.

I taught part-time in private school settings for 12 years before becoming a full-time Waldorf teacher in a private school, which makes it my 8th year as a class teacher.
I am fully licensed teacher by the state of Utah.
Throughout my career, I've worked in both large and small companies, owned a business, and ultimately found my calling in teaching and supporting the growth of the Waldorf school movement.
Together with my husband, we have two sons who are currently studying—one in Europe and the other in Houston.
My primary goal as an educator is to guide my students to become happy, healthy, independent, confident, and compassionate middle-school graduates, fully prepared for the challenges ahead, and I am striving to expand my influence on the healthy development of humanity.

We can find nature outside us only if we first learn to know her within us.
