Help sustain access quality, holistic, Waldorf education in Salt Lake County.
Did you know that Wasatch Charter School provides a FREE public Waldorf education for over 600 children annually? This includes the very best, highly trained Waldorf teachers and unique specialty classes, such as music, gardening and handwork, that nourish the whole child. Yet, all of this beauty requires significant support.
An equivalent, private Waldorf education would cost $20,000-$40,000 a year per student, but Wasatch receives only $8500 per student from State and Federal sources combined. Wasatch receives less per student funding than all the surrounding school districts, who collect property taxes and cannot issue bonds to cover building expenses. (Difference in per student funding: $1200: Canyons District; $2200: Granite District; $6300 Salt Lake District; $16,000: Park City District)
Help us close the gap and do more for our students and faculty. Your generous donations allow us to infuse money directly into classrooms, supporting pay for teachers, specialty classes, and student support.
Thank you for making our vision of Waldorf education for every child a reality.
We can't do it without you!
